Blown Away  (Northern Dawn x August Wedding) x Heir to the Throne  31”, 6”, Dormant, EM, 23 buds with 3 way branching, fertile both ways, fragrant.    

This daylily will blow you away with its garden presence and huge edge.  Blown Away surpasses Heir to the Throne with its larger edge but retains its northern hardiness.  This is definitely a flower you look for in the garden.  We are pleased with the seedlings from Blown Away and continue to hybridize with it.  When crossed with Natalie Grace, we got edges that were ¾” to 1” wide and covered 2/3 of the flower.  When crossed with April LaQuinta, we got immense flowers and ruffles.  You get the idea – grow it and breed it – you will be glad you did.
