Cast Your Net x (Odds and Ends x Julie Newmar) 30”, 6”, Dormant, M, 20 buds with 2 way branching, fertile both ways   

This flower brings several important features to the gardener and hybridizer.  First, Parable of the Net is dormant and hardy in our climate – one of the few patterned eyed daylilies to make that claim.  Second, Parable of the Net opens easily and flat unlike many patterned eyed flowers that tend to stay cupped or pinched.  We like seeing flat opening patterned eyed daylilies that show off the pattern.  For hybridizers, it is a good pod setter and while we did not register it as an unusual form, Parable of the Net frequently has sepals that twist and curl.
